The town of Rosemount would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to you as you settle in to your new home in our eastern Minnesota home. With a population of about 15,000 residents, you can expect to find a small town atmosphere with all the conveniences and features you need on a day to day basis. Take a look around and you will see that you made the right decision to move to Rosemount.

The Rosemount Parks and Recreation Department maintains and operates the parks and other activities throughout the community. The Adopt a Park program is one of the most popular opportunities that the department offers to residents and local organizations who want to take pride in their community and keep it looking beautiful. By adopting a park, you help keep certain areas maintained and you are also expected to report any suspicious activity that you see at the parks. There are dozens of organizations, families and individuals currently maintaining parks throughout Rosemount, including Girl Scout Troop 1392, the Murphy family, the Rosemount Moms Club and many more. For more information about the parks or about adopting a park, call (651) 322-6005.

In an effort to keep Rosemount residents safe in case of an emergency, the local fire department is on hand for a variety of issues. The Rosemount Fire Department has about 40 firefighters on staff to serve the community. Fire Chief Scott Aker heads the unit with his expertise in fighting fires and attending to other emergencies. If you want to have a recreational fire, you must verify that there are no restrictions for that particular day and your fire cannot exceed three feet by three feet by three feet. It must also be at least 25 feet away from any property line or structure. For more information and non-emergency calls, contact the department at (651) 423-3444.

The Rosemount Community Center is available for various events like wedding receptions, class reunions or even sales meetings.
